The Chennai-based production and casting house Vridaavan Tele Films has confirmed that 24-year-old Mumbai-based model and actress Yazmeen Khan has been signed on in a six film deal in a two-year Talent Management contract. Accordingly, the talent management arm of Vrindaavan Films – Vrindaavan Talent Management will exclusively handle all modeling, acting and allied work and assignments for the bubbly 24-year-old. She will also shoot for six films with the production house over a 2-year period. Vrindaavan Films produces and distributes medium-budget Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali and other regional language movies in the Southern and Western territories of India.
Co-producer Rajesh Singh said Yazmeen Khan will also play a role in a film based on the Sheena Bora-Indrani Mukherjea murder mystery.“This is a murder most foul. To think of it – that a mother would cold-bloodedly murder her own young daughter in the prime of her life when otherwise everything seemed fine for the mother and her media baron third husband. And the fact that the accused persons almost managed to get away with it for three years. It beats me that educated, rich people can so cold-bloodedly pre-plan and orchestrate such a dastardly act. I have begun my own investigations in to the matter with three researchers on the job and have commissioned two of Bollywood’s best script writers to immediately start work on a script for the film which I intend to start shooting in the next 3-4 months. What is surprising is the fact as reported by the media that Sheena Bora knew all along that she was not Indrani Mukherjea’s sister but her daughter and yet chose to enter into a relationship with Peter Mukherjea’s son from an earlier marriage Rahul Mukherjea, who technically speaking was her half brother.”
Yazmeen Khan will also do two song sequences in the film Welcome to Chennai. WTC directed by by V Ganesha Reddy, and is produced by Rajesh Singh under the banner of Vrindaavan Films. Welcome to Chennai also stars Supriya Nair, Shiva Prakash, Nisha Parikh, Mahek Singh and Shree Dham along with four others.
