The young, dynamic and outspoken Curtorim Congress MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco from Goa has strongly condemned the communal rants made by Sadhvi Saraswati at the All India Hindu Convention held at Ramnathi in Goa, organised by the Hindu Janajagriti Samiti.
“Sadhvi Saraswati is a proxy spokesperson and agent for the VHP and RSS who want to hide the failures and shortcomings of the Narendra Modi government at the Centre. While the VHP and RSS have not directly associated themselves with the Hindu Rashtra Conclave as the convention is called, they are using proxies like Sadhvi Saraswati to get their message across, Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco told IndiaNewsNet.IN in an exclusive interview.
“The Narendra Modi-led BJP government has completely failed on all fronts. The economy is in shambles and demonetization has flopped badly, creating more problems than it ever solved. It is doubtful how much black money has come back into the system. All-in-all demonetization was the biggest mistake and failure of the government, which decision was taken by one man – Narendra Modi. Farmers are agitating all over the country. Now they are using publicity-hungry people like Sadhvi Saraswati to camouflage and hide the complete failure of the policies of the BJP government at the Centre,” Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco said.
Sadhvi Saraswati from Madhya Pradesh’s Chhindwara had stoked a controversy yesterday by saying, people who eat beef as ‘status symbol’ should be hanged.
Sadhvi Saraswati made the remarks at the inauguration of a four-day All India Hindu Convention held at Ramnathi in Goa, organised by the Hindu Janajagriti Samiti, reported Indian Express.
“I request the government to hang those who eat beef as ‘status symbol’… They should be hanged in a full public view (Jo vyakti apne ma (gau mata) ka maas khaane ko apna status symbol maanta hai, aisi vyaktiyon ko Bharat sarkar se nivedan karti hoon, phaansi pe latkana chahiye. beech chaurahey pe latkana chahiye),” said Sadhvi.
Sadhvi reportedly also urged Hindus to stock arms at home to ‘save our women from love jihad’.
