UK-based filmmaker Trilok Mukhi today said that his production house Trilok Mukhi Films is working on a film titled “Saffron Terror”.
The film is based on the murders of writers and rationalists Dabholkar, Pansare, Kalburgi and Gauri Lankesh and claims to reveal the alleged role of right-wing organisations like the Sanatan Sanstha and the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) in the murders of these intellectuals.
The director of the film claims he has researched the Sanatan Sanstha for the last 7-10 years, since the time he lived in Ponda. Some Sanatan ‘seekers’ or ‘sadaks’ were my good friends. You can call me an “outstanding member” of the Sanatan Sanstha – a person who was an unofficial member, who never entered the precincts of the organisation.
Mumbai-based actor Kalyaniji Jana has been selected by producer-director Trilok Mukhi to play the role of the protagonist – he plays the role of a ‘seeker’ or ‘sadak’ of the Sanatan Sanstha and is also the narrator in the film.
According to an article in IndiaScoops.com, the film is based on true facts and goes into the details of the murder.
The Sanatan Sanstha has denied any role in the murders of the above mentioned persons claiming that its name is being dragged into the investigation by vested interests.
