Model and actress Arshi Khan shot with Goan fashion designer Randell Gomes for Ms and Mrs Global Earth Online today. It was a fusion outfit, says Randell Gomes, explaining the garments worn by Arshi Khan. There were two more outfits which were on the theme of light bridal or rather for second-day wedding wear. The outfits were inspired by several Pakistani designs and mixed with Indian styles to give it a complete fusion look – both in terms of design origin, fabrics used as well as cuts and fits, explains Gomes.
Designer Randell Gomes had launched a pret collection last year called Mumbai Fashion Street Collection which is inspired by Mumbai’s fashion street at Dhobitalao in South Mumbai. This year he has introduced a new line of wearable and affordable clothes for women of all shapes and sizes under the same name.
Randell Gomes who was born in Goa but grew up at Dhobi Talao near the CST Railway Station and was fascinated by the variety and color of clothes available very cheaply on Fashion Street. Randell Gomes says, “My sisters would go to Fashion Street every weekend.
It was simply fabulous. Most of the stuff available at Fashion Street were export rejects and some of them were re-cycled clothes. But the joy we experienced getting an outfit within its limited budget was tremendous.
At that time, shopping was fun and a great pleasure. With my new range of pret outfits for men and women, I want to make cheap fashionable clothes available for everyone.
“I am always glad to work and shoot with Arshi Khan. This is our 5 or 6th shoot together and she is a very good and versatile model and its fun working with her. She can carry off different looks very easily. Arshi Khan can look really stunning in western or party wear and even a hot Indian bikini and at the same time, she looks glorious in bridal wear as well,” Gomes said.
