10 Mira-Bhayander corporators join BJP ahead of civic polls

MUMBAI: With the Mira-Bhayander Municipal Corporation (MBMC) election slated to be held in August, 10 corporators from the NCP and Congress have moved to the BJP.

Six NCP corporators Dhruvkishore Patil, his mother Vatsala Patil, Parshuram Mhatre, Vandana Patil, Ashok Tiwari and Suresh Khandewal joined the BJP on Sunday.

Congress corporators Prabhat Patil, Hansukumar Pandey, Rekha Virani and Manisha Pisal also joined the BJP.

Last week five corporators from the Congress and NCP had joined the Shiv Sena. With polls slated in August, they are likely to get tickets. The MBMC is ruled by the BJP-Shiv Sena.
